Directions from the South end of the island:

(Shipyard, Sea Pines, Pope Ave, North or South Forest Beach)

*Locate the Sea Pines Traffic Circle on your map (where highway 278, Palmetto Bay Rd, Pope Ave, and Greenwood Dr meet)

*Take Palmetto Bay Rd approx. 2 miles to the toll booth (just $1)

*Immediately Exit to the right just beyond the toll onto Marshland Rd. This is very well marked. Just look for the Marshland Rd signs.

*Follow Marshland Rd. for 1 mile (a good landmark is the new firehouse you’ll pass on the right as you go around the first bend.)(Be sure to pass by Broad Creek Marina. DO NOT GO TO MARINA.)

*Turn right onto Simmons Rd.

*Be sure to follow Simmons Rd the whole way to the end. It’s only about 1/4 of a mile long, and where the paved road ends you’ll be staring right at a little gray building with a red door and tin roof that says Simmons Fish Camp on it. This is the restaurant on our property. WE ARE LOCATED JUST TO THE LEFT OF SIMMONS FISH CAMP.

*******BE SURE NOT TO GO TO BROAD CREEK MARINA’S PARKING WHICH IS LOCATED NEXT DOOR TO US BECAUSE WE HAVE PRIVATE FREE PARKING JUST FOR OUR KAYAKING RIGHT NEXT TO SIMMONS FISH CAMP AT THE END OF SIMMONS RD.

Directions from Mid Island or the North End of the island.

(Palmetto Dunes, Shelter Cove, Port Royal, Hilton Head Plantation, Indigo Run, etc)

*Locate Mile Marker #6 on your map (This is where Highway 278 intersects with Mathew Dr and Folly Field Rd. Carrabas Restaurant is at the corner of this intersection) .(Be sure you are at mile marker #6 because you can also turn onto Mathews Dr at mile marker #5. Things can get a bit confusing if you turn onto Mathews Dr at mile marker #5 because it goes both ways off of Highway 278.)

*After getting to Mile Marker #6 on Highway 278, turn from Highway 278 onto Mathews Dr.

*Travel 1/4 mile on Mathews Dr and turn left onto Marshland Rd.

*Follow Marshland Rd 3.5 miles (A good landmark which you will pass as you travel down Marshland Rd is The Old Oyster Factory. Keep going as you pass The Old Oyster Factory as you have another 2 miles or so to go down Marshland Rd.

*Turn left onto Simmons Rd.(This is just BEFORE Broad Creek Marina. DO NOT GO TO THE MARINA.

*Be sure to follow Simmons Rd the whole way to the end.
